MEPhI (Moscow Engineering Physics Institute) is one of the first research educational institutions in Russia. For 75 years, MEPhI has been producing specialists in the fields of physics, chemistry, mathematics, and IT technologies. The passing score in subjects is very high - from 200 to 255. For admission to this institution of higher education, you need a high USE score in core subjects, so the First USE Center invites students in grades 10 and 11 to take preparatory courses to successfully pass the exams. Our teachers will conduct a comprehensive preparation for the exam, which will include theoretical and practical work. The knowledge acquired in the courses will help applicants successfully pass exams and receive a diploma after graduation.

Unified State Exam in Physics

For many specialties, MEPhI requires a high USE score in physics. If you want to enroll in MEPhI, we recommend first of all to enroll in preparatory courses in this subject. In the classroom, students will learn:

  • distinguish hypotheses from scientific theory and draw conclusions based on experiment;
  • describe and explain the properties of bodies and physical phenomena;
  • use the acquired knowledge to complete the exam assignments in physics.

Unified State Exam in Mathematics

Preparation for the exam in mathematics is also important for admission to MEPhI. Courses in this subject are divided into basic and specialized. If you want to get a high mark for the Unified State Exam in this subject, we advise you to choose a specialized course. On the profile course of the Unified State Exam, problems of an increased level of complexity and ways of solving them are considered, which, as a rule, do not pass in schools. The ability to solve this level of tasks guarantees a high score for the exam.

Unified State Exam in English

Preparation for the exam in English includes the development of listening and reading skills, as well as a repetition of grammatical foundations. Students will improve their oral English skills, learn how to write texts (business and personal letters, essays, essays), and psychologically prepare for testing.

Unified State Exam in Russian

Preparation for the exam in the Russian language consists of two parts: theory (repetition of the school curriculum) and practice (writing essays and essays, completing test tasks). On the courses, students will be able to repeat all the grammatical and lexical foundations of the Russian language, learn to analyze the text and correctly express thoughts on paper. An individual lesson plan will be drawn up for each student, thanks to which it will be easier for the student to assimilate the material and fill in the knowledge gaps.

Welcome to the courses of preparation for the successful passing of the Unified State Exam for admission to MEPhI!

Preparation of applicants for admission and study at NRNU MEPhI has been organized in an organized manner since the opening of preparatory courses for graduate students (1970).

Over the past years, tens of thousands of schoolchildren have been trained at preparatory courses, many of whom have become students of NRNU MEPhI and other prestigious universities in the country.

The main task of the preparatory courses is to create additional conditions for applicants to improve their educational level, as well as for vocational guidance and preparation for entering universities. Both the schoolchildren themselves (future applicants, increasing their competitiveness) and the university, receiving a more prepared student, are interested in raising the level of knowledge.

Students of general education schools have different initial levels of training, therefore the structure of the offered courses allows taking into account different levels of training, as well as the inclinations and capabilities of potential applicants.

The list of courses offered is constantly expanding. For example, in the 2012-13 academic year for eleventh graders, in addition to the traditional eight-month courses, we are opening for the first time four-month courses to prepare for the MEPhI Olympiads and the USE level "C". Thus, we take into account the different levels of training, as well as the inclinations and capabilities of potential applicants.

Short-term courses lasting from 2 to 4 months are the best option for those who already have good training (for example, thanks to tutors) and want to get acquainted with the level and specifics of NRNU MEPhI, and most importantly - to assess their capabilities in the upcoming delivery Unified State Exam and focus on knowledge that will need to be demonstrated at the final - entrance exams.

Classes on the courses are held at a convenient time for everyone. The options offered are weekday evenings, Sundays and Saturdays. Anyone can enter the preparatory courses without exams and without preliminary selection.

Since 2009, the unified state examination (USE) has become the main form of control over the preparation of graduates of general education institutions for further education at a university. Since 2012, the state final certification (GIA) has become the main form of control over the preparation of 9th grade graduates of general education institutions.

Preparation for the Unified State Exam and the State Examination Agency is one of the main activities of all our preparatory courses for all offered training programs.

Dear parents and applicants!

Ø - training in preparatory courses is a psychological adaptation to the future university level of education, which is ensured through the use of university forms of training (lectures, seminars, etc.), a higher methodological level of specialized disciplines studied in courses, communication with university teachers , stay in university classrooms;

Ø - training in the courses allows students who have already made a choice to be convinced of the correctness of previously made decisions. For applicants who have doubts or hesitation, courses help to orient themselves and make the final choice of the faculty and university;

Ø - the programs of the proposed academic disciplines taught in the preparatory courses provide knowledge of a higher level than in the basic programs of a general education school. In the teaching methodology, periodic repetition of the material is used, which contributes to its deeper assimilation and understanding;

Ø - in the forms of control (mainly - testing) materials used in the exam and the State Examination of the past are offered. A series of rehearsal tests, conducted several times during training in an environment close to a real exam, helps to reduce the degree of emotional stress often encountered when passing the exam;

Ø - training on the courses is much cheaper than classes with a tutor.

Preparatory courses are prepared by:

- pupils of the 8th and 9th grades for admission to lyceums at NRNU MEPhI and contribute to an increase in the level of knowledge on mathematics, physics and Russian.

- students of grade 10 schools to successfully passing the final exams in the USE format in the 11th grade and obtaining high results at the Olympiads at NRNU MEPhI.

- pupils of 11 grades of schools and educational institutions, as well as persons with completed secondary education, for successful participation in the Olympiads of the NRNU MEPhI and for passing exams in the format of the Unified State Examination.

For 6th grade students:

· mathematics, Russian (a course of 2 subjects) - covers the material of grades 5-6.

There are three course lines for students in grades 7-11:

· mathematics, physics, Russian language (course of 3 subjects)- for planning to enter the university in the future for engineering and technical and physical and mathematical specialties. We recommend this particular course, since when entering universities, the sum of points scored in three subjects, including Russian, is taken into account.

· mathematics, physics (course of 2 subjects)- for planning to enter the university in the future for engineering and technical and physical and mathematical specialties. This course is for those who are confident in independently achieving the highest possible level of knowledge in the Russian language and do not consider it necessary to control the achieved level by independent experts.

· mathematics, Russian (course of 2 subjects)- for planning to enter the university in the future in the specialties of the economic profile.

Correspondence school services are available for schoolchildren living anywhere in Russia and abroad.

You can enroll in courses at any time throughout the year without any entrance exams. You can start studying the chosen course of the current academic year even in April-May. If students do not have time to complete the assignments before the end of the current academic year, then they can continue to complete the assignments both in the summer and in September-October of the next academic year.

Sets of manuals and assignments are sent to the students by registered mail.

Students' completed assignments are accepted for review and returned from review by email.

For each subject of the chosen course, students receive a training kit designed specifically for distance learning by correspondence, which includes:

  • manuals developed by teachers of MEPhI and its lyceums. These manuals contain more intelligible explanations than in school textbooks; in each chapter, with a large number of examples, various types of problems and possible ways of solving them are discussed in detail. Manuals can serve as a good addition to textbooks, and in some cases - completely replace them. In addition to the set with the basic manuals, students in the 9th and 11th grades are sent additional manuals specially designed to prepare for the successful passing of the OGE (GIA) and the Unified State Exam. These manuals take into account the changes that have appeared in the structure and content of the OGE (GIA) and the Unified State Exam and are published at the beginning of each academic year.
  • collections of assignments on the main topics of the school course.

    Pupils of grades 7-11 are invited to complete and send 6 assignments for each subject (except for Russian) chosen for the course (in Russian - 4 assignments) during the year and send them to the correspondence school for examination; 6th grade students - 4 assignments in mathematics and Russian.

    Each assignment in mathematics, physics, chemistry consists of 20-30 problems of various difficulty levels. Students need to solve and send 10 solutions for verification. Depending on the level of initial training, students can choose different personal educational trajectories. This gives an opportunity for lagging students to improve their performance, and excellent students - to deepen their knowledge; systematically receive an independent expert assessment of their knowledge, as well as prepare for the successful delivery of the OGE (GIA) and the Unified State Exam.

After completing the corresponding assignment on their own, students send it for review by e-mail. Tasks are performed in a traditional handwritten way (solutions are written on sheets of paper). After that, all sheets are scanned and attached to an e-mail (you will receive a detailed description of the procedure for processing and sending work for verification in a parcel post along with the manuals; it is also posted in your personal account on the website).

Together with a set of manuals and assignments, you will be sent the approximate deadlines for completing and sending assignments for verification. You can change the order and timing of assignments (depending on the timing of the study of the relevant educational material in your secondary school). You can complete assignments during the holidays. If you do not have time to complete the assignments before the end of the school year, then you can continue completing the assignments in the summer and in September-October of the next academic year. Students have the opportunity to contact us by e-mail with any questions that arise.

The assignments completed by the students are checked by qualified teachers using a tablet with an electronic pen and sent to the student's email address. You will receive a verified work with the assessment, comments and recommendations of the teacher, as well as a brochure file with detailed solutions for all tasks of the assignment (all levels). We recommend that you carefully familiarize yourself with the solutions sent, sort out the problems that you did not begin to solve or that you did not cope with.

In the personal accounts of students on the site, specially prepared educational videos, interactive educational resources and additional text materials on the topics studied and for preparation for the Olympiads are posted. An electronic diary of a student with grades for the submitted assignments is also kept in personal accounts.

Studying the material of the courses will allow not only to prepare for passing the OGE (GIA) and the Unified State Exam, but also in the future to successfully study in higher educational institutions, primarily at NRNU MEPhI.

The cost of the services provided is given in the "Cost" section. No other additional payments due to inflation, changes in the tax system, etc. will be required. A discount is provided for each previously completed course. There is a cumulative system of discounts: schoolchildren who have used the services of the secondary school from grades 6-7 receive the largest discounts for grades 10-11.

To enroll in courses, follow the steps outlined in the "What you need to enroll" section.
