The picture shows what the passing score was in 2017 for admission to the University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in St. Petersburg:

Watch the episode of the "Special Report" program dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the Academy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Volgograd:

Many in childhood dreamed of devoting their lives to a noble and interesting cause - to catch criminals and defend the law. But in order to realize this dream, it is necessary to go a long and hard way, which not everyone can do, especially a girl. How to act as a girl in the Ministry of Internal Affairs? It's certainly not easy, but it's doable. It all starts with an interview in the personnel department of the unit, from where this difficult and difficult path to the dream will begin. There you need to pass an interview and interest the employer in your candidacy.

If this stage went well, they will explain in detail how to work in the Ministry of Internal Affairs and send you to a special commission, telling you what documents you need to have. This set consists of copies of the passport, birth certificate, marriage, birth of children, diploma, work book, a guarantee from two employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with at least 3 years of work experience and an autobiography questionnaire, the form of which is available in the personnel department and the question of how to write an autobiography in the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will disappear.

After collecting all the documents, you can go to the commission itself. It should be noted that future employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs are selected according to four health groups: 1- traffic police, special forces, teaching staff (the most difficult in terms of requirements and if the question is relevant: how to get into the special forces of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, then it should be understood that selection, both for health reasons, endurance, and in terms of personal and psychological qualities it will be very serious); 2 - operatives; 3 - investigators and precinct; 4 - logistics.

To pass the military medical commission, in which they just check health and endurance, you will have to stock up on a large number of medical documents. Namely: certificates from anti-tuberculosis, narcological, psycho-neurological and dermatovenerological dispensaries, an extract from the medical record for the last 5 years, fluorography. Doctors will have to go through quite a few, so it will take a lot of patience and endurance. If there are no complaints about health, then the next step will be: a socio-psychological study.

The study itself consists of two parts. The first part - tests that allow you to identify personality traits and the level of education. The test is given approximately 3 hours, but you should be patient, as there are a lot of questions in it and you will need endurance to fill it out. immediately after it there is a conversation with a psychologist who will ask about family relationships, hobbies, how the Ministry of Internal Affairs is deciphered and why there was a desire to work there. It is worth saying that it is better to answer all the questions of the psychologist and the test truthfully, because, if necessary, they can force you to redo the test or send it to a lie detector (polygraph).

As can be seen from the above, in order to realize a dream, you will need to make a lot of effort and effort, while spending a lot of time, but everything is feasible and quite realistic.

The profession of a policeman can be obtained not only in the universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, but also in secondary specialized educational institutions, which used to be called police schools, now most of them have been renamed colleges, and there are very few of them left. If you can enter universities only after 11 classes, then colleges are accepted on the basis of 9, and in the Suvorov schools of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia - after 8.

Selection criteria

The requirements for those who plan to enter the police school after the 11th or 9th grade are quite strict. First of all, this is the absence of health problems and excellent physical fitness, good academic performance, stress resistance, and a high intellectual level. And also the readiness to always come to the aid of people and the firm conviction that the choice was made correctly.

Admission conditions

Citizens of the Russian Federation who have successfully completed 9th or 11th grade are eligible to enter police colleges. Education is conducted in the daytime (rarely even in the evening) form, on a budgetary or paid basis. Both boys and girls can enter the college on equal terms.

For preliminary selection to the budget department, the acceptance of personal files begins on March 1. For their registration, you must contact the personnel departments of local police departments. The general acceptance of documents ends on August 1.

Before admission to the entrance examinations, all applicants are required to pass a medical commission at the educational institution itself.

Applicants must submit the following documents to the medical board:

  1. General blood and urine tests.
  2. Blood tests for HIV and the Wasserman reaction.
  3. An electrocardiogram taken during exercise.
  4. Information about the passage of fluorography.
  5. Statement of health for five years (outpatient card).
  6. Information about vaccinations.

In addition to the commission, all future cadets pass:

  • testing on the general psychological state and IQ level;
  • entrance tests in physical education, which include running (100 and 1000 m) and strength exercises. The scores for this exam have a significant impact on competitive selection.

The term of full-time study, depending on the specialty, ranges from 2 years 10 months to 3.5 years on the basis of 9 classes and from 1 year 10 months to 2.5 years - upon admission after 11 classes.

Required documents

In order to enter the college (school) of the police after the 9th or 11th grade, you must contact the personnel department of the territorial division of the internal affairs bodies (OVD). Its staff will form a personal file of the applicant and send him to college.

Personally, the selection committee is served:

  1. Application (for minors with parental consent).
  2. Passport or other identification document (plus a copy).
  3. Certificate and annexes to it (with a copy).
  4. Medical certificate 086/U.
  5. Copy of health insurance.
  6. Professional color photo cards 3x4 (6 pcs.).
  7. Certificate with the results of testing for the use of narcotic and psychotropic substances, issued by a public health institution that has the appropriate license (test for 10 types of narcotic and psychotropic substances).
  8. Characteristics from the school.
  9. Copies of documents for the provision of benefits (if any).

Although, according to the current legislation, for admission to the police college, it is not necessary to submit the results of the OGE and the Unified State Examination, educational institutions can add to the lists of documents required when applying, a certificate from the school or a printout from the RTSOI website with the results of the GIA in mathematics and Russian. This does not violate the rights of applicants in any way - admission passes through the competition of certificates and the results of a test in physical culture. But if candidates score an equal number of points, then the selection takes into account grades for priority subjects for the college and a particular specialty.

You can also enter the police college bypassing the local internal affairs bodies by submitting documents directly to the educational institution. This format is called direct dialing. Its peculiarity is that after graduation, the cadet is sent to work in any of the Russian internal affairs bodies, and not exactly in the one that recommended him to study, having formed a personal file.

Where to apply - top 3 schools

If for graduates of the 11th grade the choice is quite extensive, then it will be much more difficult to enter the police school after the 9th grade. Since the main emphasis in professional training is on ensuring that employees with higher education work in the internal affairs bodies, there are few specialized secondary educational institutions that train employees for the Ministry of Internal Affairs, almost all of them are located in Moscow:

  • College of Police (founder - Government of Moscow);
  • College of Law (founder - Government of Moscow);
  • Vocational Training Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Moscow Region (admission only on the basis of 11 classes).

But in all universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs there are faculties of secondary vocational education (or separate training programs for the specialties of secondary vocational education).

It was the police schools in Russia that after the reorganization of the educational institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, carried out in 2008, there were only three left, and all of them specialize in training dog handlers for service in the internal affairs bodies:

  • Rostov School of Service and Investigative Dog Breeding of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation;
  • Branch in Yegorievsk (Moscow region) of the Rostov School of Service and Investigation Dog Breeding;
  • Ufa school for the training of cynologists of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.

Secondary education and the specialty required to work in law enforcement agencies are also provided by civilian higher and secondary educational institutions, for example:

  • St. Petersburg Police College InterPoliceCollege - "InterPolisCollege" (non-state);
  • College (Faculty of secondary vocational education) MFLA (Moscow Financial and Legal University).

You can get the profession of a policeman on the basis of 8 classes. To do this, you need to enter one of the seven Suvorov military schools of the Ministry of Internal Affairs:

  • St. Petersburg;
  • Astrakhan;
  • Yelabuga;
  • Grozny;
  • Novocherkassk;
  • Chita;
  • Samara Cadet Corps.

The Suvorov Schools of the Ministry of Internal Affairs accept graduates of the 8th grade who, on December 31 of the year of admission, are under 16 years old.

From the moment of enrollment in departmental colleges, cadets are awarded the rank of private police officer, and upon graduation - police lieutenant. Cadets and students of educational organizations of the Ministry of Internal Affairs receive the rights, benefits and duties of police officers. They are given a stipend. Freshmen are in the barracks, that is, on full state support.

Who graduates from police colleges

After graduating from the police college, graduates receive a certificate of complete secondary education, as well as one of the specialties according to the Federal State Educational Standard:

  • 40.02.01 - law and organization of social security, qualification - lawyer;
  • 40.02.02 - law enforcement, qualification - lawyer.

After graduating from the police college, graduates can work as investigators, district police officers, UGRO specialists, criminologists, employees of administrative and legal departments - that is, in the positions of ordinary or junior management in any department of internal affairs of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. You can find out about vacancies and recruitment of employees during your studies or practice.

Many graduates of police colleges do not stop there and continue their education at the universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia. The knowledge and experience they gained while studying in the VET programs, as well as excellent physical fitness and self-discipline, are a significant advantage when entering universities and institutes of the Ministry of the Interior. Applicants who have already proven that they are not random people in law enforcement agencies are more likely to be accepted by the universities of the Ministry of Internal Affairs than high school graduates.

For reference

Police schools, which until recently trained employees to work in the internal affairs department in the positions of ordinary and junior commanding staff, were reorganized by order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1510-r dated 10/29/2007:

  1. Moscow Special Secondary School of Militia of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation - attached to the Moscow University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
  2. The St. Petersburg Special Secondary Police School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and the Arkhangelsk Special Secondary Police School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation are attached to the St. Petersburg University of the Ministry of Internal Affairs with the formation of a branch of the university on the basis of the Arkhangelsk School.
  3. Elabuga Special Secondary School of Militia of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation - attached to the Kazan Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation and transformed into its branch.
  4. Nizhny Tagil Special Secondary Police School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation - became part of the Ural Law Institute as a branch.
  5. Novosibirsk special secondary school of militia of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation - became a branch of the Barnaul Law Institute.
  6. Chita special secondary school of militia of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation - transformed into a branch of the East Siberian Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Dozens of other police schools (Astrakhan, Voronezh, Omsk, Makhachkala, etc.) became part of the higher education institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs even earlier - in 2005-2006. Accordingly, all secondary specialized educational institutions received the status of universities, and you can enter them only after 11 classes.
